New ERP 2.0 system

The ERP 2.0 system boasts an open protocol design, ensuring smooth integration with the Car Park Management System.
The GNSS-based system replaces the traditional gantry type ERP system that has faithfully served the nation for 25 years, dating back to its inception in 1998. As the existing system nears the end of its operational lifespan, LTA has introduced the ERP 2.0 system as a modern solution that addresses the evolving needs of today’s dynamic transportation landscape.
The core of the ERP 2.0 system lies in the On-Board Unit (OBU), a sophisticated combination of a processing unit, an antenna, and a touchscreen display. For motorcycles, these components seamlessly integrate into a single, streamlined OBU, ensuring a compact and efficient design.

Let’s delve into the functionalities of each component:

  1. Antenna: The antenna serves as the communication hub, establishing connections with ERP systems, car park gantries, and the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS). This pivotal component ensures accurate and real-time data exchange, contributing to the system’s robustness and reliability.
  2. Processing Unit: The processing unit takes charge of all payment-related transactions and ensures secure and swift financial transactions, providing users with a hassle-free experience.
  3. Touchscreen Display: The intuitive touchscreen display serves as the interface between the system and motorists. It notifies drivers about ERP details and payment information. Additionally, it provides valuable insights such as the locations of nearby Silver Zones, bus lanes, and more. Drivers have the added convenience of controlling OBU alerts and adjusting volume settings through this user-friendly interface.

Automatic Car Park Ticketing System

Cashless payment is getting more and more popular in modern parking applications, Scheidt & Bachmann has implemented a direct utilisation of cashless means of payment at entries and exits of car park, where these are used as a means of identification and payment.
Modern operators are also getting aware of the many benefits including the minimising of short-term parker media usage and the associated increases in operational performance. Today, the identification and authorisation media cover the whole range from magnetic strip cards via chip, transponder and barcode cards right up to mobile phones.
Cashless Payment Environment
The environment of cashless means of payment is of a very multi-facet design. On the one hand, there are the classical credit cards with their worldwide distribution and, on the other hand, there is the variety of local, regional and private cards in the form of credit, debit or purse cards.
Some operators combine the many features to provide a meaningful and cost-efficient solution customised for their application.

The following list shows a segment of cashless means of payment that Scheidt & Bachmann currently provides for utilisation in their system environment:
